Plainly, what happens to what you write.

What we store
Your entries and their ratings, the themes you create, your session dates and the pages you produce, your settings, and your email address. That is the list. We do not ask for your name unless you want one on a shared sheet, we never ask who your therapist is, and we do not ask what you are in therapy for.
What leaves our servers, and when
Only if you turn on pattern-finding. With it on, your entry text is sent to OpenAI to be grouped and counted, under a zero-retention agreement: it is not used to train anything and is not kept after the request. Dictated notes send the audio recording too whenever your device cannot transcribe on its own, which is most Android phones and any browser without on-device speech. The recording is discarded as soon as it becomes text and is never stored by us.
With pattern-finding off, nothing you write leaves our servers, and every other part of the app works exactly the same. The switch is in settings, one tap, and this same paragraph is printed beside it.
What never happens
Nobody reads your entries. No person at this company and no automated system reviews what you write, looking for risk or for anything else. There is no risk detection, no triggered intervention, and no “we noticed you seem to be struggling”. This is why the app is not a crisis service and says so on every screen where it matters.
We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no advertising SDKs in the app. There is no third-party analytics that can see anything you wrote.
Sharing, which is always yours
A sheet is shared one session at a time, with a link that expires after a day, a week, two weeks or a month, and there is no permanent option. You can withdraw any link at any moment and it stops working immediately. Nobody has standing access to your record, and no clinician account exists that could be granted it.
We record that a shared link was opened, so that you can see whether it was and so that there is an access trail behind it. You are shown only whether it has been opened, never a count and never how many times somebody came back to it.
Deleting, and meaning it
Deleting an entry hides it immediately and removes it permanently after thirty days. The window exists because a delete pressed at 2am, on the entry that was hardest to write, is the one people most often regret. It closes because a delete that never happens is not a delete.
Deleting your account removes everything at once, including every shared link, which stops working the same second.
Taking it with you
Everything you have written, as JSON and as a PDF, on demand, from settings. Unedited and in your own words. It is your record and a promise of ownership you cannot exercise is a slogan.
Children
The Other 10K is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we ever change what leaves our servers, we will say so in the app before it takes effect, not in a version note on a page nobody opens.
